Inspired by Edgar Poe’s poem “The Raven”, the fragrance is a tribute to the legend of the “Toaster”, whom every 19th of January, on the anniversary of the poet’s birthday, lays upon his grave three red roses and a flask of Cognac. 

As the poet chose scathing words to write a nice punchy poem, perfumer Anne-Sophie Behaghel grabbed violent and bitter materials to tell the mystery. She dares the strength of a tyrannical rose that rout before driving the spell..

Recreating the scent of the “Toaster”, imagine the smell of cold stone of the cemetery, the roses laid lovingly upon graves and the drinks used to toast to the people who have passed yet are never forgotten. The sombre smell of the love lost while passing through a cemetery. Top Notes: Black Pepper, Floralozone, Aldehydes, Saffron. Middle Notes: Rose Oxide, Damascena, May Rose, Wine. Base Notes: Ambrox, Saffron, Cedarwood, Amber.
